I thought you guys might find this interesting and/or useful.
On dropping off my daily packages, I casually asked a post office clerk if they are "doing OK, given all the stuff that's going on."
She said, "they haven't even made it to California yet. They started in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and the East."
What she was saying is that nothing the Postmaster General has done has affected her post office or even California at all. She said "he didn't make it this far". She also said she doesn't have any inside information at all, and that she and other post office staff only know what they see on the news.
I immediately thought of politics. How interesting that CA would be pointless to mess with. Nothing anyone could do would change how CA is going to vote. So, nothing happened here. Or at least it was not first on the list. Ohio and PA, on the other hand, are battleground states. If you needed votes (by suppressing other votes), this is where you would want to start.
Anyway, just a little "light news" about our Democracy to cheer everyone up on a Thursday evening.

You don't mention who "they" are? Makes no sense.

Do you not watch the news or read newspapers?

There is no voter suppression. It is just another hoax made up against the present administration. I have worked for the USPS for over 33 years. The only fraud and mistakes I have ever seen is at the local elections bureaus.

You are correct. I don't read newspapers.
Do "they" still have those?

Tell that to the low income neighborhoods where they moved all the polling places to a different town. Tell that to the people who turn up to vote and are told they were removed from the roles because they didn’t vote in the last election. Tell that to the people who live in a community so gerrymandered it looks like a Rorschach test.
if you think there’s no voter suppression you are very naive.

Oh and there are hundreds of voting districts in the US. You cannot possibly know there is no voter suppression in this country.

The voter suppression is blatant. It started the day after Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act was invalidated with Texas and other bad actors taking steps to disenfranchise voters, and it hasn't stopped since.
It never ceases to amaze me that some people actually think saying "what you're seeing isn't happening" is going to do anything other than make themselves irrelevant. It's an issue of judgment.

You don't mention what "that" is? Makes no sense.

What happened to the informative post that was here?
The blues didn't like it and took it down?

Only to a lefty does insisting a voter be eligible to actually vote count as suppression.
I don't know about the OP, I'm seeing stuff take longer to get through big city sorting centers, Chicago, Indianapolis, I had one for California take a week with no clear reason why, while one I sent Monday arrived out there Wednesday. No rhyme or reason to it.

You should send her a copy of this informative article that @bigdeals.etc just posted showing a glimpse at how California has been affected.

And if you can't get a glimpse due to the paywall...
Six weeks ago, U.S. Postal Service workers in the high desert town of Tehachapi, Calif., began to notice crates of mail sitting in the post office in the early morning that should have been shipped out for delivery the night before.
At a mail processing facility in Santa Clarita in July, workers discovered that their automated sorting machines had been disabled and padlocked.
And inside a massive mail-sorting facility in South Los Angeles, workers fell so far behind processing packages that by early August, gnats and rodents were swarming around containers of rotted fruit and meat, and baby chicks were dead inside their boxes.

Yes, DeJoy seems to be targetting swing states.

Yes, DeJoy seems to be targeting swing states.
Had he started in California and Minnesota he'd have been targeting Democratic states. Good thing he rolled the dismantling/overtime back till after the election.
Wouldn't want his decisions to be "TALKING POINTS"
