I was drafting a computer software when the listing showed $100.00 for insurance

I was listing "Nine worlds" software and when I got to the shipping option I chose UPS ground advantage. $100.00 insurance was added to the shipping and it added $20.00 for the buyer. What's going on?

I don't think UPS has a tier called Ground Advantage.   USPS does though.  But it automatically comes with $100 worth of insurance for FREE, regardless of how much the label costs.  -And that is determined by the dimensions and weight you enter for the item.  So for one of my little jewelry pieces, the label is typically under $5.00, but if they lose the package, I can file a claim and get reimbursed for up to $100.00

Can you post a screen shot of the shipping in your Listing page?
