My buyer contacted me indicating they gave me the wrong address, I had dropped off the pkg at FedEx already, I told FedEx the situation and they canceled the shipment, I voided the label on eBay...should I cancel the order as well? should I print a new label on eBay and take it to FedEx? Does the buyer have to re-purchase the item again? Will the item be listed back for purchase? Thank you!!

Was it for sure your buyer?
Some try to scam, and are not the actual buyer.
Do not print a label with an address other than the one provided at checkout by the buyer. You lose seller protection when you do that.
If it was indeed the buyer, you cancel with reason "problem with buyer address".
Relist for buyer to repurchase AFTER they correct their address.

If FedEx scanned the label then you will be charged for it. You can't void a label that has been used.
Does FedEx still have the package or did you retrieve it from them. What does "cancelled the shipment" mean? Did you pay to have it intercepted and returned to you?
If you hadn't shipped yet you could have voided the label, cancelled the order with the reason "problem with buyer's address" which would trigger a refund to the buyer, then the buyer could place a new order.
Don't ship to an address that's not on the order or you'll lose seller protections.
Since you already shipped, you can follow the same process as above, but you may want to increase the ship cost when you relist since you'll be charged for that initial FedEx label.

FedEx has the pkg, they said they canceled the shipment, and the buyer gave me their updated address(legitimate). How can I update the new address if I reprint the label? How can the buyer update the address? Looks like a lot of steps but willing to accommodate them. I did void the label but have not cancelled the order...

If you purchase another label, you will be able to change the address right on the label prep form, BUT if you ship to any address other than the one that was attached to the original payment, you will probably not be protected against a fake 'Item not received" claim, although eBay MIGHT take the buyer's message (with new address) into consideration.
IMHO you should wait until you get the item back, then cancel the transaction based on "Problem with buyer's address." You might want to issue a partial refund, after subtracting the cost of the original label which you will not recover; as noted above, FedEx considers he label to be used and will not refund the purchase price despite your void request.

What does tracking show? That package may still be en route and eventually delivered to the original address.
You should not do anything until / unless the package is returned to you except communicate with the buyer.
Buyer,
The package was already shipped. I'm attempting to intercept it from FedEx but I don't know if the package will be returned to me or delivered to the address you provided at checkout.
I will let you know if I'm able to get the package back and we'll go from there.
Seller
If the package is intercepted and returned you'll pay not only initial shipping, but might get hit with an intercept fee.
If the package is delivered as addressed, buyer is out of luck and will have to try and retrieve it. If buyer lives near original address, they can sign up with FedEx and ask FedEx to hold the package at local distro center so they can pick it up and avoid delivery to wrong address.
If FedEx attempt delivery, fails, then returns the package to you that gives you the option of refunding buyer less shipping/fees and relisting.
Buyer's protection is voided when they provide a bad address if item is returned to sender or delivered to the wrong address. If you file a package intercept and FedEx successfully diverts the package back to you, that changes things and leaves the liability with you. So you'll have to wait and see what happens. Come back and keep us updated.

The pkg is at the FedEx Office store waiting for me to pick it up(or make a new label). I asked the buyer if they could update their address so I could reprint the label with the new address. I was going to cancel the order if that's the best route at this point...

Not trying to be a pain, but again................................. are you for certain that this was the original buyer.
Many requests are genuine, but some are dishonest requests perpetuated by scammers that ask to have something sent to an address other than the one provided. Some are rather vague. Some are done as a tag team effort. (using different ID's knowing all the specifics of the transaction)

It doesn't work that way. The buyer could have changed the address attached to the transaction during the payment process, but they cannot change it now, after they have paid. As noted, if you redirect or resend the package you probably lose protection against a fake "not received" claim.
It's a moot point now, but I thought FedEx would have let you redirect the package to the new address that you received in a message rather than having it returned to sender and requiring a new label to be purchased?

Labels purchased through eBay for UPS/FedEx cannot be redirected. We've seen rare occurrences when that happens, but eBay has a block tied to the account so those cases are outliers from rogue carrier CS reps somehow getting around the block.
If the label was purchased direct from FedEx then the seller could pay a fee to redirect, but lose seller protections in the process. If the label was purchased direct from FedEx then the buyer could pay a fee to redirect, but lose buyer protections in the process.

Thank you for providing that clarification.
