I accidentally put in an old address when I purchased my item. I messaged the seller immediately before the item was shipped. The seller didn’t reply and has shipped my item to my old address. I’ve messaged the seller about five times and still no reply. My current address is now outside the US so how do I resolve this? I still want the item, and am willing to pay for the international shipping fee.

You have to wait for if/when the item comes back to the seller.
If the seller doesn't respond there is nothing you can do in ebay, you're just out of luck.

You don't give any details but...
For Seller protection a Seller is required to ship to the confirmed address. Whatever is on the confirmed address on pay Pal is where the Seller will ship the item to. Most Sellers will Not ship to AN UNCONFIRMED address.
You probably DON'T realize that many scammers pull this trick to get items free. They have either taken over on a "old" eBay account, are using a stolen Credit card, or many variations of scams. Later on it will come back to the Seller and they lose all the money, the sent item and the Postage. I am not suggesting that you are a scammer. I am just telling You why a Seller might ignore Your message to ship to another Address especially shipping to a foreign Buyer. It is even possible the Seller Doesn't ship to foreign Buyers. did You check the listing?
Ultimately though IT IS Your responsibility to keep ALL addresses current in both eBay and Pay Pal. The Seller Can prove that they sent it to Your Old verified (?) address so they will not be punished for Item Not Recieved. If they get it back they really have no further things to do. They can keep it resell it or whatever...
Some Sellers will reship it IF You pay again for shipping, new handling cost etc. and pay them for the Original shipping they lost. I don't know If they will reship it to a foreign Address though. Others will reimburse You Your money minus ebay fees, Pay pal fees they paid, shipping costs etc. As far as I know the Seller is NOT responsible IF You don't have a current address on file. They can keep it and the money You paid. Although most "do what is morally Right" Sugar

I’m not trying to scam the seller. I just really forgot to update my address. This is my first purchase since I’ve moved abroad. I’ve messaged multiple times saying that I would cover all additional shipping costs. I also checked, and the seller does ship to my country.

I haven’t even sent the new address. I’m not asking to send it to an unconfirmed address. Before they shipped I asked if they could cancel so I can purchase again with the new confirmed address. Unfortunately, no reply whatsoever.

The seller will have to refund the OP minus the shipping and handling charges and relist the item for the OP to purchase again giving their correct ship to address. The seller also has the option to block the OP from purchasing it again. The seller will have to prove delivery to the address supplied with the paypal payment~~the seller won't just ship it to another address without that address being the OPs current address given with the paypal payment. Maybe the seller doesn't ship outside the USA so won't sell to the OP at all.

The seller reship at the OPs expense without relisting the item & having the OP repurchase it.

The seller has to prove delivery to the address/zip code supplied in the paypal payment details. The current tracking is going to (hopefully) show the item as undeliverable & returned to the seller. If the seller just ships it off to another address the OP can file a INR and get a full refund of their money. I would refund the OP minus shipping cost, relist and let the OP purchase it again with the correct shipping cost for the international shipment and the correct address to ship the item to.

Nope. The seller can safely reship since the OP gave a bad address.

If I gave my own address as the ship to address with my paypal payment and then contacted the seller telling him to send to a different address the seller would lose his seller protection if he didn't cancel the sale, refund and relist the item for me to purchase and give the correct ship to address with my new payment.
You are saying that when the seller gets the item back he can just send it off to a different address in another country and still have seller protection? How does he give ebay their cut of the additional shipping charges he's going to make the OP pay? Ebay wants their 10% cut of the additional shipping charges the OP is going to have to pay the seller. If the seller sends a paypal request for more money from the OP for the additional shipping charges wouldn't that be considered an off ebay transaction that could get the seller suspended?

Lots of varying advice here. FWIW I will state what I know to be true as of the last time I personally checked the facts. (We all know policy can change on a dime.)
1. The confirmed/unconfirmed address requirement went out the window years ago. Both Paypal and eBay require you to ship to the address on the Paypal payment page. (More about eBay's part in this below.)
2. Triton, an eBay employee has stated here several times that eBay will now allow seller protection if the buyer messages the seller with a requested change in address through the eBay messaging system. Paypal, however, still requires the seller to ship to the address on the payment screen to be eligible for seller protection.
3. Your seller is being a (insert ugly word of your choice here) for not replying to your messages but I can imagine his/her chagrin at having been paid for domestic shipping and now being asked to send it internationally. It's possible he just didn't know how to handle it.
4. One of the top 5 scams on eBay involve a buyer asking the seller to ship the laptop to his "nephew in Nigeria" or some such. Even so, I refer you back to #3.
In the end, this was your error and you will likely have to own it. It could be the seller is just sitting on the package and hasn't even mailed it. In which case I would watch for the estimated delivery date that is on the order and file an Item not received claim at that time.

If the item is refused or returned undelivered because of the incorrect address it would void the eBay buyer protection the seller could ship elsewhere at that point. But there is still PayPal so I don't think I would. eBay charges the 10% on the lowest offered domestic shipping charges in the listing when it's international so they wouldn't be losing any fees by the seller billing the remainder of what's owed.

"Ebay charges the 10% on the lowest offered domestic shipping charges in the listing when it's international"? How can it be domestic shipping charges and shipped international? Ebay has collected their 10% of the shipping charges but now the seller will have to charge for shipping again to ship it outside the USA. Wouldn't ebay be entitled to 10% of those shipping charges as well? It is added shipping charges to the original transaction. OP is in the Philippines.

Let me try to explain again.
When an international buyer purchases eBay doesn't charge 10% on the international cost. They ONLY charge the 10% on the lowest domestic cost. If the seller invoiced for the remainder of what would be needed for international shipping there is no difference. If the international buyer had paid that full cost of international shipping through eBay the seller would have paid the same fees on shipping because eBay would have only charged fees on the lowest domestic cost.

I did understand that You were not a scammer. I did not even think You were a scammer...I was just saying the reason WHY YOUR SELLER and others are SO paranoid! Check out my post earlier this week on Paranoid Sellers and Buyers...It is catchy...Now in the old days when we trusted Sellers with hundreds in cash AND did not worry about getting our product in the condition it was promised...different climate now. 😞 😞 Sugar
