Hello - lost a shipment to a buyer in Canada. Used the eBay label with Virtual Tracking No. - it went to USPS here , they pass3d it on to DHL Intern. and they passed it on to APPLEEXPRESS?? They left it t door of buyer. They never received the parcel and I had to refund the money. Am I protected for loss thru eBay - do I have to ship insured and signature request? For the time I'll not accept orders using this "eBay Virtual System."

You were protected because you had tracking confirming delivery to the hub in IL. Your error was refunding the buyer voluntarily.
If you did not refund the buyer, added tracking to the non-receipt claim, then let eBay take over - eBay would have refunded.
Sellers have protections with eBay International Shipping (eIS), but voluntarily refunding means eBay will no longer foot the bill.
Edit: I just noticed there was no non-receipt claim and you cancelled the order. If this ever happens again, do not cancel. Tell the buyer to file an "item not received" claim and eBay will cover it.

Looks like the address of eBay's international freight forwarding service.
Your only responsibility as a seller is to get the package to that address.
