Hi eBay community, this is Carrie. It's my first time asking a question. I have read previous conversations and it has helped me out so thx. Ok so I shipped out a item on Dec. 13, 2019 and it arrived at a P.O Box on Dec. 17, 2019. On Dec. 24, 2019 this buyer said that they call the post office every day and they can't pick it up. Keep in mind it says available for pickup in the tracking number. They started a return saying that it's there they just can't pick it up or something like that. It didn't take long for me to catch on to this b.s, they were wanting to get a refund, then go pick up the item. I'm not stupid. I haven't mentioned this to the buyer. On Dec. 28, 2019 I called eBay and they figured out that they were responsible for picking up the item, therefore the request is closed and ended up in my favor but, the reason why I am asking you anything is because the item still says it's available for pickup. I looked at a eBay community discussion and many people said that packages that are left at a P.O Box for more than 2 weeks will be shipped back to where it came from. It's been there for 13 days. I haven't heard anything from the buyer since Dec. 24, 2019. I have contacted them a few times since so i guess they don't wanna talk. Anyway if it is sent back to me, since there is a closed request, will i be able to keep the item and sale it/ keep it once i get it without eBay takeing my money? I use PayPal if that helps. Look forward to getting a response.

Hi everyone still interested in this subject, I've been so busy lately and there not been anything 2 update however though, I called their local post office last saturday and they said the package was no longer there. It must have been delivered according to them. I realize that the tracking number still says available for pickup but it's been delivered I take it. This subject is now closed, if there anything that else comes out of this I will come 2 u guys. Thank you very much. I also what 2 apologize to some people, i felt I've been rude to a couple of people, I was just stressed out over this at first. Once again sorry, and thx very much.

If the buyer filed a Returns Request, did you approve it and provide a return shipping label? If so, then the buyer has 5 business days to get the item back into the mail to return the item. If the buyer can do that, then s/he has to pick up the item in order to return it. At the end of 5 days, if the buyer has not gotten the item in the mail, call ebay and they can CLOSE the case. If the buyer never uses the label, you will not be charged for it.
If the item gets returned to you, and it is in the same condition as you sent it, you can list the item again. Since you have the item and the payment from the buyer, it is only honest to refund the buyer. I would refund item price only since the buyer refuses to pick up the item. Then I would add that user ID to your Blocked Buyers List.

So, you are going to need to find some money.
Buyers have up to 30 days after delivery/estimated delivery to return an item, (get a refund) and the seller is responsible for the refund.
Buyers have up to 180 days for a refund if they pay with PP
Buyers can also do a charge back if paid by credit for quite some time.

So when you sell it the second time, then you will have the funds to refund the original buyer.

They can pick up the item, and then claim "not as described" on PP.
You will be required to refund if they do that, and return the item.
Whatever you use to back up your PP will be debited if you do not have the funds in PP.
If they do a CC charge back you will refund in full, + possibly an extra $20 fee.

If they do pick up the item, that would b lying cause the item is as described

Yes they can lie, and they can get away with it
Description of "like new" condition can be subjective.
PP/CC will not back the seller on a INAD situation.
eBay can be a rocky road.
