I bought a 'new' Nikon camera in March. Within 2 weeks we discovered that it didint work properly. After three emails to the seller, they told me to contact Nikon. Nikon sends me lable to send to their warranty center in Illinois. They lose it for about a month. THen they send it back to me saying they cant fix it becasue it was bought ourside the US and is considered gray market merchandies. I send email to seller to try to get resolved. Of course after all this the Ebay guarantee has expired so I go thru PayPal for resolution. THey just emailed me to tell me they have decided against my claim because the camera was new. Now I am out $225 and have a defective camera that I cant fix. Paypal tells me to contact the seller to resolve further. Since they dont respond to emails that seems like a waste of time. I cant even dispute the credit card charge because everyone has dragged their feet on this. Does anyone know of anything else i can do to get this resolved. I cant even leave feedback for seller saying i was ripped off. THis experience really sours me on Ebay.

Somethging doesn't sound right. What are you leaving out? Whether or not it was new is irrelevant. The problem is that it doesn't work. The way you wrote 'new' makes me think you claimed it wasn't and PayPal got hung up on that.
I would begin by calling PayPal and complaining.
In the future only deal with the seller. They can deal with Nikon or whoever. Most sellers are not authorized dealers. Manufacturers rarely honor warranties on eBay sales.

The reason PayPal won't help you is because you are trying to use their 180 day policy as warranty--they are very clear that it's NOT a product warranty. Did you back the payment with a credit card by any chance?

Yes but that time period has also expired with all the delays.

Seller said it was new but it was defective. Contacted the seller directly three times before getting a reply to contact Nikon. Now seller doesn't reply at all.

"Contact Nikon" was just a way for the seller to blow you off. That is what the Resolution Center is for. Now that the seller is in the clear you shouldn't expect to hear from them at all. Sorry this happened to you.
