Using an inkjet printer and printing on 8 1/2 x 11 paper with half sheets for adhesive labels: Before you could adjust the margins and size of the label in custom printer settings before you printed. Now I don't understand it. Why did they even change it to begin with? Do you purchase the label as a pdf or png? And then what size? I don't get it, and if you mess up you can't go back and redo it. eBay, get rid of the new printing system and go back to classic. It was better. I have an inket printer and am trying to print half sheet labels on regular printer paper with adhesive on the back for the labels. Any help is appreciated. Thanks! Working to get a thermal printer because it seems they're making everyone get one now with this, the only way I printed my label decent was copying and pasting the png into paint and printing but it was so unnecessary and such a waste of time it's ridiculous. Anyways, if someone has an easier and faster way to print labels like this please let me know. MF labels off of amazon

When printing single labels, we use PDF and print on 8-1/2 x 11 ... we also open up in Adobe rather than the embedded PDF readers that browsers employ. This works perfectly.

@Anonymous more issues reported for the new label flow.
@gold-daddy96 at the bottom of the new label page is a link to tell them what you think. Do so, repeatedly.

I would try to find a montone laser printer instead as your consumable costs will be far less. Get one where the drum and toner cartridge are seperate replaceable units as there is no typically no reason to replace the drum each time you replace the toner cartridge. Laser printers will typically have a toner saver mode. My Minolta PagePro 1250E, which has be running since 2003 due to keeping it dust free, can print up 1200 dpi for graphics but operates in toner saver mode 99.99% of the time. One high capacity toner cartridge (about $40) will print thousands of labels. I print eBay labels on plain paper; however, I also complete other printing tasks on Avery type labels of various sizes.
Have you tried using pirateship, an authorized eBay label provider instead? You can import your orders there.
If the labels generated from eBay's news label system contain extra text, graphics or margins you do not want then you might want to investigate obtaining an application that will allow to to batch crop the labels you download. Many watermarking applications also can crop / trim images. They can also typically change the format of the labels (pdf to png, etc).
I've used Abode Acrobat Pro for more than decade to auto crop entire folders of labels with a simple menu selection. Once cropped versions of the lables are generated they are all selected in the Finder and opened in Preview. I then open a print dialog window and print them two per 8.5" x 11" page.
I mentioned such apps this in another thread here:

Cetainly my comments are off topic but --
Heck we've used an HP Officejet 4315 All-In One printer since selling on eBay in 2010, it was at least 5 year old then. Like a Timex it just keeps ticking. When it dies I'll buy another HP similar to it. Yeah we cut and tape labels printed on plain printing paper onto the packages - not really a major issue - ET ~30 seconds. At one time we shipped 25 to 30 items/month - not so much any more. Total shipments since 2010 = 1525 - never an issue. Certainly big volume sellers would want a different printer.
Yeah my phone is smarter than me too.

Hi @gold-daddy96, can you give me some more details on the exact model of your printer? Additionally, when you select the Change format option to customize your label printing preferences, have you reviewed the options available to confirm none will work for you? I'm happy to pass along your feedback with some more detail.

Oh for Pete's sake, I've got the same problem and I don't have time for all of this nonsense. I have no desire to go out and buy another printer, or spend hours trying to figure out a work around, or to download pdf files for every friggin label. This is so frustrating. Back to paper and tape. Thanks eBay for always making things hard.

My fail-safe, less than perfect solution:
Press the red "cancel" button on your printer as soon as the 1st half is done printing.
My 2 printers don't seem to mind (don't queue or reprint) my laptop doesn't even notice.
Saves ink and labels. After a couple practice runs, you'll know exactly when it's done.
Lil harder with faster printer.
P.S. Remanufactured cartridges, or refill kits with a syringe (available on ebay) save you about 80%, vs bricks & mortar stores. Also, be sure to reset your printer, &/or wipe down your old cartridge with alcohol before replacing it. Empty warnings are often early/wrong. 💲👍

Some more information would help. What printer, what browser, windows or mac, are the labels not printing at all, printing wrong, etc.?
My labels open up in a separate browser window as a pdf so you just click on the print icon at the top and that opens the printer window where you can make adjustments or just click print. I've never had a problem with the new system actually printing the labels.
