How to print an eBay standard envelope label directly on a 3 5/8" x 6 1/2 " envelope?

Has anyone yet figured out how to print the eBay Standard envelope label directly on a 3 5/8" x 6 1/2 " envelope? When I download the label to print, the orientation of it is incorrect.  I've seen this question asked on several boards but I've yet to see a solution.

Some printers come with an attachment for envelopes, or one can be purchased.

I've found a bit of a clunky work around that at least doesn't use tape. I purchase the eBay Standard envelope label. Then I download it. The file is a PDF. I then convert the PDF to a JPEG using the Adobe site. (https://www.adobe.com/acrobat/online/pdf-to-jpg.html). I then open it in the Photos app on Windows 10. Then it is printed from inside the Photo app directly to an envelope. Again it's a bit messy but the result is good and until this ability is made native on eBay I'll go with it. I hope this helps someone. I'm sure there is a similar method for Mac users that's just not me.

Thanks! This helped.... not as well as I would have liked but I feel its better than taping it onto the envelope. Were you able to get it to print along the edges? I can only manage to get it to print in the center and kind of small.

Yep, I can get it larger but it requires a little more editing. That gets to the point of no return so it goes out a little smaller.😉

Thanks for this suggestion. Seems to fix the formatting problem, but now for some reason the JPEG produces a much little font color on the laser printer. Have you seen this issue?

It does appear I am using a similar workflow as the below, but for Mac users:

-Purchase the shipping label from the orders screen

-Download the label

-Open the label in Preview (or any PDF viewer)

-Crop just inside the lines of the label on the PDF so it is borderless

-Print that image directly onto the envelope size selected in your printer

My method:

PC, Brother Laser jet, Acrobat XI

1 save the eBay PDF

2 open in acrobat

3 rotate

4 select label and move to horizontal center

5 Right click on the page thumbnail and select crop

6 change left and right to 1.25 (this changes the page with to 8.5 otherwise the label will shrink when printing)

7 Print and manual feed the envelope

Well, I know you asked about "directly" but I print the label on a standard half sheet Avery self stick then just position the label part where it needs to be and wrap the rest of it over the edge of the envelope. That way I can orientate it any way I want. Not exactly what you asked but a quick and easy compromise.

1.  Print the shipping label on a sheet of paper with the correct dimensions for the printout to fit on your envelope

2.  Tape a blank envelope to that sheet of paper 

3.  Reinsert the paper with the envelope taped to it back into your printer's paper tray

4.  Print the label

I took just a couple of tries to figure out that with my printer I just needed to tape the front corners of the envelope as it will be fed into the printer to prevent a paper jam.  But it works like a charm and my tape usage is decreased by 95% and it takes about a minute start to finish

Unfortunately ebay never provided a label printer format or a direct to envelope format for the Standard Envelope.  There have been a few workarounds, but most are clumsy and then ebay made some minor changes making it even worse.

I don't use the Standard Envelope, so don't have a sample label to work with.  However, if you send me a private message I'll reply with an email address where you can send me a PDF file of one and I'll see what tricks I can come up with to make this simple to do.

im trying to do the same thing on PIXMA tr4722 the cannon app doesn't support this so I have to use Google doc, I can't get the landscape on the envelope correctly
