How to close item not received case

On March 19, buyer placed an order. It was shipped on March 20. On April 18, customer opens an item not received case. Tracking shows it was still in route and last scan was on March 21.  On the case where it says "buyer requested", it says "the item", so I reshipped the customer's order and updated the tracking number with the new number.  Tracking shows the order was delivered on April 23. The case still shows open, and is awaiting buyer's action.  I noticed the comments on the case now say "I would like free shipping and or free items sent due to your error".  What should I do to close this case? Thanks in advance for any help.

The above poster has mis-read the dates you stated, you are correct.  Add the new tracking number to the INR case and then call Cistomer Service and ask them to close the case.

This is confusing, how can buyer open an item not received case on on 4/18 when the purchase had not been made.  According to you, the order was placed on 4/19 and you shipped on 4/20.   Tracking shows the item was deliverd on 4/23.

 

After a case was opened, you shipped a replacement item and now the buyer, who received the original order is trying to fleece you for more free items.   

 

Call Ebay and give the rep an overview of the case with your tracking information and  delivery date of the original order.  Specifically equest that the case be closed in your favor.
