How to cheaply ship cellphone cables?

My competitors are selling cables at $3.75 each and offering free shipping. How is this possible?

My current shipping rates for a padded envelope 4x.5x3 is $7 on eBay and that is shipping from the east cost to the center of the USA. I've gotten price comparisons from eBay, USPS, Fedex, and UPS all charge more than $7, $18, and some cases over $120 per item.

What can I do to compete with low prices and free shipping?

Why would you offer UPS ground shipping on a cellphone cable? Or is that a mistake in your listing?

It can ship First Class (I'm guessing at 3 oz) for $2.66

Don't ship lightweight cables by UPS for $7, ship them USPS First Class package for $2.66

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.

You are doing something wrong. Those can ship USPS first class for about $2.70.
UPS is way too expensive & you’re competing with the chinese. They buy those things for less than .05, ship for less than .05. That’s how they’re able to sell for $1 free ship. Epacket costs them nothing or pennies. A lot of epacket costs them 0 to ship.
