A little background:
I purchased an item and then cancelled the order within half an hour as i changed my mind. I sent the seller a message asking them to cancel the order with reasonable time (it was also 22:40 at night and there is no way they posted anything out at that time)
I got a message the next morning saying the item had already been dispatched and they couldn't cancel it. So i thought id reject the delivery, the courier however dropped off the parcel outside my door without knocking. I caught a glimpse of him getting into the van from my window so i ran after him for a street but he sped off 😞
I then paid ebay for a returns label, slapped it on the unopened box and sent it off.
The tracking number given says that its been collected by them and is moving through the system but ebay hasnt updated and it still says "your action is required" (see image 1)
If i click the take action button it takes me to this screen (see image 2), telling me i need to post the item (which i have already done ?)
Is there a button i press to mark the item as having been sent off or something or should it do it automatically ?

It has to actually arrive at the sellers address before anything will change.

So you didn't buy your return posting label from eBayye?
Does eBayye recognize PartialFarce, Herpes, or Yokel as posters when a sellre posts your itemme from eBayye, so eBayye will also recognize them as posters to post back your own label?

This is the discussion board on ebay.com, the USA site.
It appears to me that you printed the return label from ebay's Returns Request. If so, you should have had the carrier scan the package. When you do that, then the middle (POST) button would then be lit. Once the seller receives the package, it is scanned as DELIVERED, at which point the seller has 2 days to refund you.
