How to Ease Your Life With Shipping Labels with eBay Bulk Labels

I thought I had a great system for doing shipping label with eBay's Bulk Shipping page, till I started getting more and more orders per day, and then the process sort of broke down because of how long it took to add the labels to the boxes because I had to match the last name to the box but I had too many boxes.

Now I print my invoices and as I package all my orders I presort them by the first name as I go. I write the first name and part of the last name on the box where the label will go

Why first name and part of the last name? One thing I discovered that helped with the process of adding labels is that you can sort the Buyer Name column on the Bulk Shipping page. It will sort it by Uppercase First names, then lowercase first names.

Once you print your bulk labels, it will print in that order also.

After I package everything and I am ready to weigh them, I will weigh them starting at the bottom of the sorted name column and I will stack my packages in as many stacks as needed ending with the first name on the list on top of the last stack.

Now when my labels are printed, I can just zip through adding labels to the boxes in order.

As long as you have a system that works for you...that's all that matters.  As we got bigger on our clothing account we found it more of a hassle to use bulk.  We finally settled on kind of an assembly line of packages printing each label as someone packaged it.

I've got an account that only sells a few dozen high volume items which I've found does work better with bulk labeling.  Here I package then label all the same items grouped.  What's left are generally done about two at a time-vastly different weights/sizes so that it's easy to know which label goes with each-no need for invoices or writing on the packages.

Each account has a different need...once a seller finds what works best they really can save time.
