I am soon going to be placing an auction-style ad for my son's 1980s GI Joes. I know this shipment will take two large boxes. How do I set up my ad to show the weight and amount of shipping for each box? I know that simply entering the combined weight of the two boxes will not get me enough money to pay for shipment ofboth of the boxes. Thank you!

Hi, @tomshirley6.
There is an option to put the weight and dimmensions in your listing towards the bottom of the 'create listing' page as seen in the screenshot below:

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! One of my boxes weighs 35 lbs and the other weighs 26 lbs. I am concerned that just charging for 61 lbs of shipping in my ad for calculated UPS shipping will not get me enough money to pay for shipping two separate boxes.

You can’t set up multiple boxes. You will have to calculate shipping for each box going to the farthest zone and then add the 2 numbers together & specify that amount as a flat shipping cost. Or if you want to use calculated shipping so that the buyer isn’t overcharged if they are closer to you, you could add the weight dimensions of both boxes & create a faux box and use the total dimensions in the shipping calculator. Just a random example but if you have 2 boxes that 10x10x4 and each one weighs 20lbs, the faux box would be 40lbs and 20x20x16. I don’t know how well that method would work and you could end up overcharging the buyer anyway of dimensional weight comes into play.

Free shipping solves the problem.
Why do you want to sell everything in one listing?

As others have posted, the eBay shipping concept does not allow calculations for more than one box per listing.
One method to work around this is to use two boxes of the same external length and width dimensions and stack and measure them as one box. Example:
Box A: 18"L x 18"w x 18"H 35 lbs.
Box B: 18"L x 18"W x 12"H 26 lbs.
When you prepare your listing, enter this into the shipping calculator:
Box: 18"L x 18"W x 30"H 61 lbs.
Pack them, seal them, then tape them together.
Done.

I would just sell them in 2 lots. Those should sell if they are in good condition.
You will probably make more money too.
