Don't be sorry, that is what these boards are for. To help people.
If the seller cancelled, then they have 10 days to refund you. The refund goes to your original payment method. So if you used Paypal it will go there. If you used a credit card it goes there.
Here is the page explaining how cancellations work. Hope this helps.

eBay should have sent you a cancellation notice and it won’t ask you to confirm anything other than that you either received a refund or that you never paid for the item.

The seller canceled an order
Hi buyer,
We're sorry to let you know that seller canceled your order.
We want to make sure you receive your refund back on your original payment method. When you receive your refund, go to your cancel details page to let us know.
If you haven't paid for this order yet, please let us know on your cancel details page.

That's where the issue lies: I haven't seen anything from ebay. He said he put in a request for it and I had to confirm the cancellation, and I Havent seen the cancellation email.

hafoster is not refering to your emails. Use the link provided to go to your messages: https://mesg.ebay.com/mesgweb/ViewMessages/0
NEVER EVER do business through emails for ebay or paypal. Go to your ebay or paypal account.
Trust me on this. If it isn't there, inform the seller and ask him to try again. Can you not cancel it yourself?
