I have a 2015 Retina MacBook Pro trackpad listing. About 20% of the items sold are later returned and all of these returns have been because the buyer didn't correctly read the listing to see that it would only work with 2015 models. These buyers open "defective return" where, in the details, they admit they're returning because they bought the wrong part but claim a defect so I, the seller, have to pay return shipping. How can I combat this problem? This happens far too often and it's hurting my seller performance metrics. Not only that but I make nothing on that item when this happens because I'm billed $5 for the return shipping each time this happens. Is there a mechanism in eBay's return system to correct the return reason after the fact so I'm not billed return shipping?
The listing title:
The buyer's return reason:
Thanks.

No.
A few years ago they would change it if they seen it was a remorse reason, but not any more.
