Hi @bepea3003 . You need to change the way you are handling your packages.
Sellers should not drop FedEx Ground Economy (SmartPost) packages with USPS. It doesn't matter that FedEx transfers to USPS for second leg of delivery some of the time or that there may be USPS info on the label. Always bring those packages to FedEx.
This was announced by the carriers last year, effective July 14, 2024 - eBay posted an alert on this forum (link).
USPS can and does seize those packages.
Reports have been increasing of USPS enforcing this rule. Tracking will say something like unpaid postage or counterfeit postage (because postage was paid to FedEx, not USPS).
When packages are seized because they were left with the wrong carrier, the seller is responsible for refunding the buyer.

(Customer Service is basically useless, but we can probably help)
Can you supply a bit more detail? What is preventing these orders from getting to their destination? Lost in the mail? Incorrect addresses?

Yes.
I have been getting messages telling me they havent been getting their orders. So i sat down this morning and there was like 8 going back to middle of April.
One i have already refunded.
I purchased labels through ebay, chose fed-ex and then USPS was supposed to deliver.
I paid shipping and printed my labels. They all had the sender and customer names and addresses on them.
Now today, i have fed-ex telling me that they are with USPS, so i talked to a rep today who looked the items up and they are telling me they are showing unable to deliver, postage not paid. And that there is no name or address only city, state and zip showing. No return address.
So now i am completely devastated because now i have to refund all these customers, and im already out of shipping already and i dont get my items back.
I am almost DONE with all this!
Any suggestions?? I need help at this point. I dont know what else to do.
Of course i paid shipping, ebay wouldnt have let me print label without paying. And ALL addresses were intact.

Did you drop those packages off at a FedEx location or USPS?

I dropped them off at USPS.

Thank you for replying, and I had no idea about this.
I had all my packages together and went and to my post office, and the lady told me that it was okay to just yeah, let her scan it and mail it because there was a usps scanner on the label.
I was unaware that having her accept those packages would cost me all of this.
Rest assured it will not happen again.
Thank you for letting me know. I spent a whole day on the phone with fedex and usps, and you told me more this morning than I got from either of those yesterday.
Have a great day and thank you for your help.

Sorry that clerk gave you such very wrong information. I suggest speaking with your local postmaster to ensure clerks at your PO are properly trained on not taking packages for other carriers.
