Hi there. I just had a customer purchase 10 of the same items from me. The problem is I was only able to purchase 5 labels through ebay then it said I had reached the max lablel limit. I realize I could go use my shipstation account or stamps.com to buy the rest but that will cost me a fair amount more if I buy through them vs ebay. Is there a way around this? Thanks.

Is there a reason you can't ship more than one in the same package?
The limit is 5 labels. As you said - you can purchase shipping labels from a third party - but you won't be able to purchase more through eBay unless the buyer paid separately for each item and it sounds like they paid for everything together.
What type of label are you purchasing that costs more on eBay than on stamps.com? The only shipping label less expensive on eBay is if you have access to Priority with the added 3% discount for TRS. Is the 3% that big of a difference for these labels?

If they can fit in one package you can combine the shipping and use one tracking number for all the items. But if they have the shipping addresses on the items different for each item you can send out 5 today and 5 tomorrow.

The items sold are computers and are already per-packaged. Even if they weren't they would still need to be shipped separately. You would think the eBay limit would be dictated by the number of items purchased not just a flat limit of 5. I just wanted to check on here to see if there was something I was missing before I had to buy the remaining labels elsewhere and pay a higher price. Thanks.
Understood - I have several items that have to ship separate, too. Those are larger items and usually my buyers don't purchase more than 5 per order.
Unfortunately you won't be able to get the additional labels through eBay so you'll have to pay the rates at your other shipping providers. That 3% shouldn't be too big of a hit. Even if you're looking at $50 shipping per package the total difference with the extra 3% for 5 labels is about $7.50

When USPS eliminated the price difference between Commercial Base and Commercial Plus, eBay initiated the TRS benefit of a 3% discount off of the Commercial Base rate, which was roughly equivalent to the difference in the prices for the previous year. It applies to all Priority Mail labels purchased by TRS, even for listings that aren't TR-Plus. There's a tiny, vague footnote about it on this announcement page:
So for instance if the seller is shipping a 5-pound package to Zone 5, the regular USPS online rate would be $10.64, but eBay's price for a TRS would be about (10.64 x .97= ) $10.32.

The [postage] increase wouldn't be a deal breaker I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything. Thanks for taking the time to respond!👍
If your buyer didn't ask for a volume discount and outright bought 10, you're already ahead even if you don't get the 3% discount on the remaining 5 labels. Me, I would have asked to buy 10 at $70 or less each.
