So I recently bought a $400 collectible item on eBay marked as just like new. It shipped from another country and took 22 days to get here. I open it and it doesn't have the original adapter and doesn't turn on. I contact the seller directly and explain the situation to them. First they are apologetic, even offer to refund if it can't be fixed but now they say they are going to look for the adapter and ship it.
The problem is it will take another 20+ days to get here and there is no guarantee this will even work. Isn't eBay's return window 30 days? I am afraid if they ship the adapter, it could be delayed long enough for me not to get it before my return window closes. Any idea what I should do here? I'd love to work with the seller but don't want to lose the ability to return this.
