I got an email notification on November 13 that the seller had shipped my package from the UK. I’m in the USA. I checked today (November 16) and there still isn’t a tracking number. I thought that would be there within 48 hours?
When I go to my “purchases” tab, there is no button to “track package” for this item. Just wondered why this might be and how long it might take to get tracking? Thanks.

A lot of the more affordable shipping services from UK to US and from Canada to US do not include tracking @platinum1400 . All you need to worry about is the estimated delivery date on your order.

Sellers aren’t required to ship with tracking.
If you don’t receive your item by the last estimated date of delivery you can go to the item in your purchase history.
Click “I didn’t receive it” in the drop down menu under “MoreActions”. Follow the prompts.
If your seller doesn’t respond with either tracking that shows delivery or in transit, or doesn’t issue a refund within 2 days, on day three you can return to the refund request and ask eBay to step in for a refund.
Good luck.

Is this the item you were going to ship to your friend also in the UK?
Or is this an item you are shipping to you in the US?
Just curious i guess.

No, this is a different item, shipped directly to me in the US. So I guess not all sellers provide tracking numbers?

Correct, not all sellers provide the buyer with a tracking number. You have an expected delivery date. Start looking for it around that date.

Okay, thanks. But how does a seller know if their package has been delivered or not if they don't have a tracking number? I would think the seller would want one to make sure that someone doesn't claim they never received a package when it was actually delivered.

I did just look at the estimated delivery date and it says between November 15 and November 22. That seems way too early because the package is coming from UK to US and it was just sent out on November 13. How long do you think I should give it? I know packages from Europe can take a while to get to the US.

Nobody except the buyer knows if the package is delivered when there's no tracking. It's a trust system that relies on honesty from the buyer.
You have 30 days from 11/22 to file a non-receipt claim. Typically I'd say give it 2 weeks past the EDD, but in this situation I agree that EDD does not look right. Makes me wonder if the seller messed up their shipping set up. If you want me or others to take a look and give you a better idea on that shipping estimate, you can post (or send a PM with) the item number.
