Hello,
I've been selling on eBay(US) from last year but I am facing a issue of high shipping rates from the very first day, even on the smaller items I have to pay $6 - $10 shipping. Does anyone know how to tackle this and from where I can get better shipping rates.
Anyone who can help in this regard will be really appreciated.
Thank you

shipping rates are high and will be going higher.
Not much can be done.
Gas prices through the roof, inflation on everything else.

I calculated once that a minimum of about 24 postal workers handle a specific package plus at least 4 vehicles and an airplane (plus the airline crew) were necessary to get a package across the country. All of whom expect to be paid, plus the fuel of course. That’s in addition to the general overhead, rent, utilities, maintenance and equipment costs.
Once you view those costs in perspective, to me at least, the rates are a bargain.

I looked at your listing and see that you offer free shipping. I can imagine that some of your items are heavy or bulky when it come to shipping. In particular the furniture's, night table, desk, lamps. USPS has added additional charges for items that pass a certain length, and this might affect you. Some items might be costly for shipping purpose and you might need to consider that. We all have the same issues, unless you have your own personal account with a nice discount, you are not going to get any lower priced shipping.
