Hiding "In Transit, Arriving Late" status

For every buyer that messages me with the complaint of INR (at least 5 a day), I check tracking and they all say "In Transit, Arriving Late" in the USPS website. I'm sure you know tons of packages have this status on USPS currently.

How come ebay is hiding this status when you click on the tracking number within ebay??? I'm forced to relay this information to every buyer who claims to not know this info prior to messaging me. This dilemma is creating a huge surge of unnecessary messages in my inbox... not to mention angry buyers. I'd think this is a pretty important piece of information for the buyer to know, don't you think ebay?

Hmmm.... Ebay think.  Most likely Ebay think NOT.

agreed! However the buyers could also click onto the tracking number and see the same info on the USPS website as well. We are dealing with buyers spoiled by the amazon delivery speed. Just can't compete when the rest of us are at the mercy of the other shipping services.

Yes, but I assume the whole reason behind the ability to see the tracking info status within ebay is so the buyer doesn't have to click onto an outside site. As I'm sure you know, almost all buyers won't click for tracking outside of seeing the ebay tracking updates. Why is ebay hiding this info to them?

I hand feed my buyers info that the USPS website is more accurate than eBay.   It doesn't really help because as long as the package has not arrived they are angry.   The PO used to have tracking that was more inclusive of every scan but they decided it was so good if you want to use it you have to pay for it as 'Premium Tracking'.

Offering it as a free service at this time would go a long way for a positive profile in the community.

I have been checking my pkgs at the USPS website. It’s hard to tell exactly when things will move.

BTW, not all buyers are rude, lazy or cheaters. Most order in good faith. Many can be newbies who are not familiar with all the nuances.

Let’s start showing more respect for all.

I thought that I had misread this on the USPS website  .... an advantage of First Class Package Mail is that tracking is included in the price , but if you want better tracking .... you can pay extra for Premium Tracking??????  What??

Has anyone signed up for Premium Tracking?  Was it worth the extra charges?   If I had Premium Tracking would I now know where the package is that I shipped on Nov. 30?   Yeah, I'm in that boat too  😩

Where are you getting the idea that I was calling buyers rude, lazy or cheaters? When I said "every buyer who claims to not know this info prior to messaging me."... I believe them. When I said "angry buyers", that anger is totally justified because they are being left in the dark by ebay. Am I missing something here??
