The main USPS number is a call center. They don't' help. They just read the same tracking notes and say they will open a case. I have already done this once. All it did was g to the Florida post office where they told me they made a mistake and to drop the package back which i did. I have gone to all my post offices here where this package has been and all they did was read the tracking notes and say it shoud have been given a new tracking number and to wait. They can't seem to help either.

I live in San Francisco and had that problem in the past. I walked into my post office to ask what is going on with my tracking number to a clerk and package sometimes does bounce back and forth through our hub. My package did finally arrived to buyer. I wouldn't worry to much since it has tracking and buyer knows about the back and forth thing. Will it arrive in one piece...maybe not. Calling on the phone or going on the website doesn't do a lot. I always walk into the post office and speak to a clerk.
If it got mailed from Ohio I don't understand why it is here on the west coast. Sounds like an address issue. Was it an eBay label or did you print address on package? Putting incorrect zip code will get it to bounce around. I have mistaken wrote incorrect zip code before.

Items can get into the wrong bin, sack or truck and then they end up miles away . The majority do get back to the correct destination but it may take a bit. The tracking # does NOT change. Whoever was told that was given wrong information. I have had several packages tour the country both as a buyer and as a seller.

Call the usps customer service number with the tracking number, and also check the (primary return address) on your ebay account we have been running into insufficient address problems due to this site auto generating return labels with a older outdated address that lacked the po box Number, it was odd to find that the return address was not matching the sent label..but hopefully we fixed it...after finding this new primary return address, the problem for us was our principle address vs the PO location..

Hi thanks. It is a correct address and an ebay label. The tracking info is all over the place. I think they are returning it to me again in error. The address is correct. It is just so bizarre.

Oh wow! haha that is so crazy! I honestly don't know what they are doing with this package. The tacking info is all over the place. I think they are returning it to me again. Every clerk I have spoken with at the post offices have told me something different. You are saying the tracking number should not change? Interesting. I'm just baffled. All I can do is wait I guess.

USPS customer service is a call center. They just read the tracking notes that I see. Or open a case which is the same as me going into a post office here or calling the local one in Florida. The call center cannot help. The TO and FROM addresses on the Ebay label are correct and very clear and readable. I'm still baffled.
