Help! Unfair sellar

Hi there, been using eBay for a while now, however, have never been in that kinda situation.

I have purchased two pairs of Converse, but what has arrived were horrible fakes. I have asked the seller for the return label several times, but he is not communicating, was replying only one message per week dragging the time. I have opened a return case, eBay has provided the return label but it was valid only for couple days, even though the shoes were eligible for a return for another 2 weeks. As I was on holiday that moment, also with sellers prolonged answers as soon as the issue has accoutered, i was not able to use the eBays return label. Now, after i have left a negative feedback for the seller received a message from him saying that he is taking full responsibility and will issue a full refund, however, more than a week has passed and i still have not received any money back.

Honestly, feels like robbery, he is selling fake converse as original, got my money and is walking away without any punishment.  I dont think that is fair,  and feel real disappointed with eBays slogan ''Money back guaranty''. Is there anything I can still do? Report the seller?

If case open, it should not have been closed within a few days so you are able to ..

1. Call ebay and explain the situation,  if they can't do anything..

2. Call Paypal and have them open a dispute case, if they can't do anything...

3. Call your credit card and dispute the charges if you really know it's fake.

@vilkomerga

What I find interesting is the thought that the return label "expired?"  Have seen a thread where many stand up a salute the idea that a label has a shipping date on it and if the item is scanned after that date the label is "stale" and the shipment rejected!

I printed a label, then got busy and didn't use it for 10-days and the USPS still took the package and delivered it!

So it would seem like the critical thing is the the buyer NOT miss the 5-day window to get that first scan proving item was shipped.  I suspect that if the case is still open the buyer could get that scan, and then call eBay and report the shipment.  I also suspect that the label is still good.   As it isn't a label is usually valid for quite some time and doesn't 'expire' rapidly - unless the label purchaser cancels it.  Another reason to hand the package to the delivery company and get a scan.  They will tell you right away if the label is "expired'.  Me thinks this wasn't the situation here.

So try shipping first and then call eBay.

Look at the bottom of this page, or almost any eBay webpage, for "Help & Contact"

Alternatively you can contact them through a FaceBook page or Twitter

Look, using eBay means that you agree to follow eBay's rules.  The Money Back Guarantee is wide sweeping and protects you are a buyer in most situations.  However, you have to follow the rules.  MBG is here:

https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/ebay-money-back-guarantee-policy/ebay-money-back-guarantee-policy...

Perhaps eBay CS can help you on this?  Perhaps not?

If they can't help you then this has become a learning experience and you'll have to chalk it up to "tuition paid"!  However, going forward if you do hit problems, BEFORE you do something you 'think' is right, might make sense to post a question?

But hopefully a calm approach to eBay CS will help yo resolve this issue.  Let us know how it turns out! 🙂

Once the return is approved and a return shipping label is sent, you only have 5 days to ship the item back.

After the 5th day, seller can have Ebay close the return case.

If you paid with Pay Pal, you'll have to file a claim with them.

Have a great day.

You are confusing the seller's return policy with the time constraints placed on eBay's return process.

If a seller has (for example) a 30-day return policy, that means you have 30 days to BEGIN the return process.

Once you open a return request based on eBay's Money Back Guarantee, you must follow the time constraints established by that MBG. When you're sent a label, you have a specific deadline for getting that package in the mail to the seller. (I believe that's five days.) It has nothing to do with the length of time the seller allows for initiating a return.

In the formal return process, you were told when that package had to be returned. I returned something not long ago, and I was not only told the date by which the item had to be mailed back, but also reminded through several emails and eBay messages. And, again, it has nothing to do with the length of the seller's return policy and everything to do with the timeline of eBay's return process.

In the end, did eBay close the case in the seller's favor because you didn't return the shoes? If so, there's a good chance that seller can get your feedback removed.
