Greetings everybody.
New to ebay, clothes seller(90%womens clothes,10%mens ). Sold a pair of Joe’s jeans to this buyer a week ago and yesterday he send an email “hi sir there is a stain on the jeans”.
I did check the jeans specifically closely upon packing because I got scammed to give out a free pair of Hudson Jeans to one man a month ago. And I know for sure there isn’t a stain, my feeling is he just didn’t like them and didn’t want to pay for returns.
I wrote back “ dear buyer, I am sorry you are not happy with your purchase. would you want to sent it back for a refund?”
One day later, “Yes please”
so I asked him to simply request a return and put down reason as other “didn’t like item” and I will reimburse return shipping as well.
He immediately open a return case of “does not match description” and he wrote “seller agree to return for full refund and return shipping”, lol.
I was speechless because I don’t think I deserve defects just cause he got stain on his soul.
and somehow I sent another email “dear buyer, would you rather keep the item for a refund instead of sending them back?” He immediately wrote back “that’s fine”
My questions is :
1.how do I process this now? There is a “offer partial refund” option is that what I should be using?
2. Do I still get defects?
3. At this point, is there any way to close the case? Or avoid defects?
4. Will he still be able to leave me a feed back?
5. Should I also refund shipping cost mail to him?
