Has anyone used eBay International Standard Delivery to ship to Australia

I used ebay's International Standard Delivery to ship an item to Australian. After sitting in Kentucky for 10 days it has been in transit for another 10 days. Has anyone shipped to Australia using this service and how long did it take?

Thanks in advance and

Stay Safe and Well,

I don't use ebay at all. I use pirateship.com (for packages below 4 lbs their rates are 25-30% below ebay's) see the screenshot.

The pandemic affects the deliveries worldwide, no matter which service one uses. The delivery times to australia used to be 8-14 days. My last 4 packages during the pandemic took 29-34 days.

The problem with your package is that 10 days have been wasted in kentucky so the delivery may take even longer than 30-34 days, which seems to be a norm these days

I can't speak directly to Australia but I do have a little experience with the International Standard Delivery. I sent a packade to the UK. Ordinarily by regular USPS about 10 days is typical (before the current postal problems of lack of planes and manpower). Through ISD it took 4 weeks.

The explanation I received was that the package will sit at the eBay facility until enough packages for that country are accumulated to fill a container. Unlike the USPS that pushes packages through individually. So transit time is at best a guess . I also found that the eBay ESUS tracking number STILL showed the package in California AFTER the package had actually been received in the UK. So tracking was completely misleading.

In fairness I had a similar problem with the tracking updates on a recent package sent to Australia by regular USPS. The buyer confirmed that they received the package even as the tracking showed it hadn't even left the US.

I have now shipped 3 packages through there (one to Australia), and just got off the phone with eBay.  They told me eBay has nothing to do with this, even though it appears to go through their shipping hub.  They said it's all the USPS, and I need to file a claim with them, even though it showed 'delivered' to their Cincinnati/Erlanger hub.  One package to Israel has been sitting there for 10 days with no movement.  The package to Australia sent 5 days later is being processed by DHL, and moving forward.  I just don't trust this program. Sounds like the seller (me) is on the hook for all lost in transit items, unlikely the Global Shipping Program.  I am removing the option until all my packages land.
