Has anyone experienced this strange tracking info from USPS? Obviously a glich.

Tracking started with UA do not provide full tracking, only with LZ, LG, and some more. USPS does not have an agreement with Switzerland for full tracking.

Yet, this is must be the craziest tracking number I have ever seen. Just tell your buyer to ignore it (since he won`t see it once an article leaves the US).

The buyer opened up a "item not received" request this morning and I have to resolve it by the 8th.  I told him his package was on the way and to ignore any "October" tracking info in the list.  The November tracking info in the list is correct.  I couldn't explain why the two months are in the same history.  I'm afraid I will have to end up refunding him on the 8th to avoid a $20 fee from Ebay if they have to "step-in" and resolve.  I don't think Ebay will side in my favor.  Seems like they are always on the buyers side.

At this point, it depends on the honesty of the buyer.

It is still early to file INR, but it looks like you selected a shipping method with no estimated delivery date (something like First Class Letter?), so he could do it much sooner than a package should be expected.

Explain him that due to China virus it is still early and ask him to wait. Also explain that shipping with full tracking starts with (check USPS for Priority price), and that this number is only record for the transit within the US. The glitch is a "bonus".

Some buyers are nice and understandable, but sometimes they are on a mission to get a free stuff due to no record of delivery. Hope you got the former.

12/12/20 Update on this issue:  I had an honest happy buyer as he received his package, left positive feedback, and closed the request.  What an odd tracking history!

If you filled tracking issue with current information provided , you can check it on other platforms and apps that provide the status on the same number to compare status updates . You can try with ie. usps tracking
