I use a Brother Ql-710w thermal printer to print labels.. however tonight there is some error preventing me from printing labels. It shows as a "paper size" error but it's in fact a visual error in the pop up label window. Anyone ever experience this before? If so what do you do to correct it?

Had the same issue. Got to Control Panel/Settings, Printers & Scanners. Right click the QL-500 printer and click Manage. Set the defaults for the paper to 7" shipping label and you should be good to go.

Is the label window opening with Adobe?
Did you check the eBay format selection?
Did you check the printer's setup for correct paper size?
What OS and browser are you using?
A screen shot of the label preview will also help.

The problem is at your end, one of the settings is not correct, and/or the browser is not opening PDF files with Adobe. Did you check the browser page setup scale?
Best browsers for eBay/PayPal shipping are Firefox and Chrome.
If you post (or send in a private message) a screen shot of the entire label preview page, I likely will be able tell what the problem is.

You are correct it's a setting somewhere that somehow got changed. If I DL the PDF file I am able to still print properly. I will shortly attach views of the error and the screen that appears. If you can help me figure this out you will be a life saver.

Here are the screen grabs I got... the first shows the visual error, and the second shows the paper size error. It appears the PDF cannot process the proper paper size.

Just to cover all bases... I have checked settings, paper size, firmware, plugs, tried on another computer to see if it was the system etc etc... nothing has worked.

Just as I thought, your browser is not opening the label preview with Adobe, but using its built in reader.
Install a fresh copy of Adobe and make it your default for opening PDF files.

Did that already.. that is an Adobe PDF viewer.... We have found a work around that forces us to download the PDF file each time just to print the label.. but that is not sustainable.

Sorry I missed your reply. Your screen shot is not Adobe. And if you download the label file then open it and it works, your problem is the same. The browser is not opening in Adobe.
I think your screen shows a Firefox screen, if that is correct, do the following: Under the Tools tab click on Options and scroll down to Applications. Then scroll to Portable Document Format (PDF). Use the drop down menu to the right to select Adobe.

1) It was indeed abobe 2) It was google chrome not firefox 3) We found a solve by altering the printer preferences. I am sure many others have had this issue though.

Thanks. This is the only thing that worked for me to get it to print correctly.
