Handling time

I recently sold a pair of shoes that has yet to come in the mail. I wrote in the description box that the item would take a few weeks before it is shipped to me and that I will ship the item to the buyer on the same day. However, I forgot to change my handling time to 30 days. What happens if I ship after the handling time? Will the order be cancelled? Will it affect my detailed seller ratings? Will this affect my seller fees?

You should not sell anything that is not in your possession. Yes, you will get a ding from eBay.

Items must be owned by you when you list or if you're dropshipping that's ok as long as you're buying from a wholesale distributor that ships the item to your buyer. Why are the shoes being sent to you instead of directly to your buyer?  Did you order them from another retailer?  If so that's not allowed.  One days after the expected delivery date the buyer can file an item not received case and you'll be forced to refund unless tracking shows delivered or about to be delivered.

For more clarification. If the sneakers were ordered from ON in Portland I don't believe that's allowed. The shoes must be in your possession at the time you list or bought from a wholesale distributor after the sale and not from another retailer.  It's ok to buy shoes from ON or from anywhere and after you get them you list them for sale. But it ooks like you're buying shoes from a shoe retailer after you get an order.
