Had an issue printing a label on eBay for an FPO address. Can't figure out why

I posted this on the seller board but didn't get any responses so thought maybe someone on this board would know why.

eBay shipping flatly refused to print it, kept coming up with an error message.

When I tried to print through PP as an experiment it claimed I need a customs form. Well if I need a customs form for this FPO why doesn't EBAY tell me that?

If it matters, it's a 4 oz FCP label. The address was USS xxxx etc, FPO AP 96678

I've printed one part customs/label forms for Canada ships plenty of times so why not this one?

I finally gave up in disgust and printed it through PP with a customs form (which then refused to actually PRINT it and sent it to a PDF instead, but that's a whole 'nother story).

A label printed  for an APO/ FPO address through eBay is a combined shipping label/customs form identical to an international label .

Should be, yes, I agree. But I just kept getting the "we are having trouble printing your label, try again later" message over and over.

I was on FireFox and even tried from IE and Chrome with the same results.

Okay, now this makes it REALLY weird.

Just printed a label to an APO and eBay did what it SHOULD have done with the FPO one and came up with a customs form and easy peasy printed label & form.

So still not sure why the FPO was a problem for it.
