Sold a laptop 2 weeks ago. Shipped it UPS because of the high value. Well it seems the buyer had a P.O. Box for their address. I created the label through Paypal but I guess UPS doesn't ship to P.O Boxes so I get an additonal $15 charge from UPS (now a total shipping cost of $40). I understand this is partially my fault for not knowing UPS doesn't ship to a PO Box, but I would think Paypal's shipping site would give some sort of warning when creating the label. Any chance I can contest this with Paypal?

So UPS will ship to a PO box for an additional charge?
There are other recent threads on UPS and fedx not shipping to PO boxes at all.
was just curious

UPS & FEDEX ships to PO Boxes using SurePost & SmartPost respectively. They don't ship large packages to PO Boxes Ground or Expedited.
I am surprised you were able to purchase a Ground label to a PO Box. You wouldn't have been able with eBay labels or Website Labels. For large packages, I turn off ships to PO Box. If someone wants me to ship to a PO Box, I add an extra charge equal to the USPS Priority cost.
My $0.02, never ever ever ever use SurePost or SmartPost ever.
Shipping takes looooonger and now there are 2 shipping company's involved.
USPS and FedUp.

I agree, that is ten dollars worth of wisdom.
Not only does it take 2 weeks to get it delivered, they play rugby with it the whole way.

So they didn't actually ship it to the P.O. Box, they shipped it to the buyers home address. When I called them they said they charged $15 to figure out the buyers home address and re-route the package.
But I was just surprised the Paypal system even allowed me to create the UPS ground shipping label.
