GSP (Global Shipping Program) is ending this year. eBay's new program is eBay International Shipping (EIS).

https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/shipping-items/setting-shipping-options/ebay-international-shippin...

The benefit of EIS to the seller is that once your item safely reaches eBay's shipping hub (in Illinois or California), that is the end of the seller's obligation. Buyer issues are resolved by eBay.  eBay will refund lost items from eBay's pocket, and will refund returns by "buying back" the item and refunding the buyer. The item is then liquidated locally and eBay absorbs any losses.

eBay will block items from buyer purchase if the items can not be shipped to that country (because of value limits or other rules), so we are seeing a few "buyer can't purchase" complaints from sellers not understanding that aspect.

ShipScript has been an eBay Community volunteer since 2003, specializing in HTML, CSS, Scripts, Photos, Active Content, Technical Solutions, and online Seller Tools.
