Hi,
I've just sold a Huawei smart watch. I didn't realise, but it looks like it's gone onto the GSP from the UK (I just thought I was sending within the UK)
I've had an email saying that it's under review - I've no idea why, it was a new, sealed item, with the standard warnings on it (I got it free with a pre order from Huawei but didn't want it)
What does this mean? Does this delay it to the buyer? It doesn't seem right that we're both being impacted by this, neither of us have done anything wrong.

Huawei is a bad word in many parts of the world. Many countries have banned Huawei products (mobile phones) out of security concerns, Australia comes to mind in my neck of the woods. Unfortunately, the blame for this transaction will fall on you. The buyer will get a full refund and you'll eat the cost. No doubt, your buyer is completely aware of what would happen, but as things are with ebay, there isn't any risk for them, just you. Best of Luck.

If the GSP determines that the item is prohibited from international shipping, then they will refund the buyer in full. Most of the time, they keep the item and resell it domestically, in that case the seller keeps the full payment they have received. The program does say that they may return the item to the seller, in which case you would not keep the payment, but I have never heard of this happening.
So, both you and the buyer are made whole, you will either get the item back or you will keep the payment you received.
But the buyer may be upset because they would have preferred to receive the item, not a refund. Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do about that.
