Free priority that I can't remove.

First post here, so please pardon me if I break some etiquette rules.

I've got several books listed that have free 3-day shipping (advertised in green, FWIW).  I never consciously chose that,  and I don't want it.

I don't recall exactly how I created those listings.  I may have used the 'have one to sell' button on someone else's listing.

I've looked through my business policies, and the relevant policy has free media mail.  I tried creating a new policy, and reassigning the listings.  That doesn't change anything.  I still have shipping offered that I can't change.

What is happening here.  Where should I look?  Can someone ELI5 this?

I checked several of your listings and they all said 'Free Economy Shipping'. Can you give an example with an item number?

If you're using calculated shipping, buyers in your zip code will see that message.

If you change your zip code and look at the listing, it'll show something different.

Have a great day.

I'm confused about what you're asking, @schraders_books.

  • Are you saying you're unable to assign a new business policy?
  • Are you saying you wish to charge for shipping instead of offering free shipping?
  • Are you saying you do want to offer free shipping, but you don't want it to be advertised as "3 day" in green font?
  • Something else?

I got rid of that nonsense by changing my "free shipping" listings to "flat rate $0.01".

@buyselljack2016 is this your posting ID?

I don't see any items for sale by you.

Yes. I post with my buying ID.

Prevents the unneeded Scooby-Doo process of my selling.

Also avoids the rare, but not unheard of account attacks from someone that does not like something that has been posted here on the community boards.

Meanwhile back at your issue.  eBay showing the free 3 day shipping,  or for some the free 4 day shipping is the replacement for the now defunct, ill conceived, guaranteed delivery that was displayed even when we were not opted into GD.

It is showing the expected delivery time,  as kensgifts posted,  based upon the Zip Code of the viewer.

Based on Zip estimated delivery, and not on shipping service.
