Free Shipping + Calculated Shipping on the same listing?

Hey everybody,

Currently we offer free shipping on our hand tools to the domestic United States. We're wondering if it's possible on eBay to offer free shipping to the domestic United States but ALSO offer calculated shipping to Hawaii/Alaska on the same listing. If that's possible, how can we set it up? Thanks in advance.

Not exactly.  But you can use the Site Preferences option called shipping tables, to set up state-by-state prices where you can set 48 states to free, and then enter a flat price for shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and territories.   You could charge the full Zone 8 price, or you can charge only the extra increment that it costs to ship to those locations (e.g., the difference between the Zone 8 price and the cost to ship to Zone 6 or 7).

Just a small clarification of terminology:  USPS considers Alaska, Hawaii, and territories that have a ZIP Code to be "domestic" shipipng.  The other 48 states are referred to as the "contiguous" states.

Why? Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii are the same cost as shipping to California if you are using USPS.

Not for this seller. He lives in Kansas City, which is in that Midwestern zone where all of the 48 contiguous states are USPS Zone 7 or less.  So AK and HI really will cost him more.

HAVE YOU CHECKED THE ZIP CODES FOR HAWAII AND ALASKA? I HAVE SENT LARGE FLAT RATE BOXES ALL THE WAY DOWN TO FIRST CLASS. THE PRINTED eBay SHOWS THE SAME SHIPPING PRICE IF IS ACROSS TOWN OR NEW YORK TO ALASKA/CANADA. THE STATES OF ALASKA AND HAWAII ARE PART OF THE UNITED STATES AND FALL UNDER THE USPS DOMESTIC POLICIES.

The flat rate boxes will, by definition, ship to all states for the same price.  So will First Class.  The OP's items cannot be shipped either of those ways, since his items are too big for flat rate boxes.  He must use a zoned shipping service.
