Because of the postage and customs, I want to search items primarily within EU zone. That is without UK (eventually without Americas or Asia or Australia). I am do not understand why ebay does not have .eu domain at all?
First thing ebay suggested to me was to use ebay.ie instead of ebay.co.uk or ebay.com - for English spoken ebay but within EU zone. This does not suffice apparently. Mostly UK based results in Ireland's ebay. I am not skilled enough to navigate ebay.de in German.
There are also the tick-boxes: European union vs. Continental Europe vs. UK & Ireland. What does this mess mean? EU is mostly continental Europe + Ireland, no UK. Brexit has happened some time ago! What about adjusting the categories to the actual existing markets? But whatever of those nonsensical boxes I tick, I am still getting primarily UK based results (heavy postage + customs fees + extra bureaucracy and waiting time for customs office).
Any better idea?

The situation got quite ridiculous. The .IE version dropped all seller location filtering - or at least I cannot find it anywhere anymore. Without the option to filter out only EU sellers the main reason I used it is gone. Unfortunately the .DE, .IT or .FR versions won't come to rescue as all seem to have the same new crippled interface too. I haven't used eBay in a while but it used to be the case that some sellers would post their items only to certain country versions.
Somebody should explain to eBay that these TLDs are country, not language codes. (I am sure I am not the only one who got burnt with import fees after realizing that the German/French/Italian speaking seller they ordered from was actually Swiss.)
They should have made an .eu version for the single market long time ago, is there some anti-EU ideology at play in eBay?

Ridiculous this doesnt work. A simple filter to remove all listings non-EU. Its an option within ebay search for as long as I can remember, but it doesnt work anymore - and havent worked for years it appears. eBay has seriously gone down the drain.
