This situation has happened multiple times for me and I can't come up with a solution.
I ship out a Fedex package. The package is mishandled or whatever happens with Fedex and tracking info is not updated. The buyer opens an item not received dispute. I'm forced to refund them by eBay's deadline. A few days later Fedex tracking info is updated and the package is finally in transit and the buyer receives their item and I have no recourse. Any thoughts? Maybe contact Fedex to have them track down the package...I've only had this problem with Fedex, USPS is great.

Is your issue with FedEx or a local drop-off business? FedEx is typically really good once the package in is in their system, but some drop-off locations can hold onto a package for far too long ... maybe your problem is with the location where you are dropping off the package.

My suggestion would be to drop your packages a Fedex Office location. They are owned by Fedex. Anthoer option would be have them come and pick up the packages from you. Just call 1-800-Go FedEx. I do believe they charge $4.00 regardless of how many packages you have for them.
