Fedex Claim

I've been selling on amazon for many years and just transitioned into selling on ebay as well.  Its been all sorts of a mess,  regardless how do I file a fedex claim on a damaged package?  I went through fedex and they sent me a letter stating I need a written signed authorization from ebay "the shipper."  Of courese I cant get an answer from the customer service department. 

Any help would be appreciated.

Go on the Fed ex website and open an account with them and link it to your ebay. That way your the shipper of record, not ebay. That being said it is very, very hard to get an insurance claim ok'd thru Fed Ex ( I dont use Fedex at all on Ebay, and very sparingly  on others)

Thank you, I did link them but thats good to know to stay away from them.  First month in and have 2 "missing" packages and 1 damaged through fedex.  Looks like I will be staying away as well.
