I am fed up...I made a SmartPost claim on ebay and been waiting well over their 20 business days. No one contacted me, etc. I called FedEx and ebay and each pointed the finger at the other -- multiple times now. Asked for a supervisor, etc., etc.
Bottom line is ebay says "...rest assured, this claim will be handled". I asked WHEN and was told another month. I am unconvinced.
I am out close to $200 having refunded buyer already. I had hoped to at least get my $100 insurance value, but I don't hold much hope any longer. What kind of scam is this, ebay?

Did you read your claim form?
FedEx SmartPost will only allow claims for packages that are lost or damaged while under the control of FedEx. Packages lost or damaged while in USPS' control are not eligible for claims.
Claims for damage are only potentially valid if the tracking status of your package states, "Damaged, unable to deliver shipment - Please contact shipper/merchant for details."
So unless your tracking actually states "Damaged, unable to deliver shipment - Please contact shipper/merchant for details." you cannot be paid on your claim.
