FedEx Deception

My very first experience with FedEx shipping.  If there is a seller out there who's never tried FedEx, I just want to warn you.  I've sold a 1,5 lb roll of wallpaper and chose FedEx shipping, $8 supposedly - less expensive than USPS.  Now, a month later, Ebay has sent me an invoice showing that I owe $22 for FedEx!!  I've lost instead of earned by selling my wallpaper.  Even though all these numbers are not big compared to what many people deal with, but I'm just shocked to see the sheer deceptiveness of FedEx shipping option!!  So, those who are just starting to learn to sell on Ebay, be warned.

Re: FedEx Deception

That would be very unlikely. First you would have a legitimate complaint against FedEx since their employee calculated the shipping cost in the store. Secondly if you paid in cash how are they going to bill or charge you?? I suppose since they have your address they could send you a bill but they would not have an automatic way of charging you.

Re: FedEx Deception

I am definitely down with a class action, I paid $13.39 for a FedEx label thru eBay, then I receive an additional $115.21 billed to my account! I calculated weight at 40 lbs and it was a one rate label for up to 50lbs, FedEx claims my item weighed 41 lbs, I took an exact same item to the FedEx put it on the scale, it only weighs 20.2 lbs! eBay keeps giving me the runaround and FedEx won't talk to me, eBay keeps lying about everything. I really believe we should start a class action.

Re: FedEx Deception

If you want help @seliba75 , start a new thread. Provide specifics.

In order to help you determine if your charge was legit or in error (and how to appeal), view the label details and expand the section on the bottom right that says see cost breakdown (highlighted below in green). Black out order #, tracking #, and buyer ID and post a screenshot.

Please also provide a physical description of the package (box, bag, tube, box with handle, etc).
