Good morning!
I sold an item at the end of January, 4 days after receipt the buyer filed an Item as not described return; the item never got scanned during the return and was returned to me 3 days past the time that eBay told me they may close the case if I hadn’t received it yet (eBay in fact left the case open). The item was exactly as described, and after filing an appeal with eBay, I won the appeal. The issue is that I still had to refund her the money because apparently even winning the appeal for the item not as described case she still gets her money back including the original shipping and the return shipping. I was informed by the agent that I could do a partial refund which through the refund process is not possible, and I was also told that if she left me a negative feedback due to a partial refund they would remove it, which in my experience from reading forms is also not true, they rarely actually remove feedback.
My question is, besides being a lesson learned, what options or recourse do I have in the future to stop this abuse especially when it was ruled in my favor and yet I’m still out the money. It seems as though eBay does not care about the sellers even when they when an appeal. Thanks so much, farmerbran

When a buyer files an INAD, even a false one, there isn't much we can do but refund, relist and move on.
