False Return

A buyer is requesting a return on an item that they claim is damaged. However, upon looking at the photos that they sent, it is not the items damaged, but the FREE protective coverings that I put the items in. I do not know what to do because they are requesting a refund and claiming the items are damaged, when according to the photos, the items themselves are not damaged. I've already reported the buyer under buyer abuse with eBay, but I only have three days to respond to their request and I am nervous that I will have to go forward with the refund even though the items are not damaged.

False Return

Your two choices:

  1. Refund without requiring a return.
  2. Pay for the return, and then refund the buyer when the item is received back.

Sorry, that's it.

(You would have some other options available if you offered free return shipping, but you do not).

False Return

@naava_0

If you want the items back before refunding the buyer, you need to accept the return and provide return shipping.

If you don't and buyer ask Ebay to step in, they could refund the buyer from your Pay Pal account and let them keep the item.

Have a great day.
