I'm using the USPS Intelligent Mail® barcode (IMb) Tracking on Envelopes/Letters (for small products). This is the SAME service used by eBay Standard Envelope, in that page ebay says: "An acceptance scan is not required. The built-in tracking for this eBay delivery service is what we need to confirm your shipment."
In the USPS "Informed Visibility" website, shows ALL the Tracking Logs of all Letters, and All Arrived at their destination.
Some buyers, when they see a "Commercial Envelope", even with an IMb Barcode, they open a "Not Delivered" Request, because the tracking number isn't publicly accessible, so, ebay cannot see that track. And ebay doesn't care if I have the IMb tracking logs, they just refund the money.
Please, someone needs to help to explain to ebay that this is the SAME service they use for ebay Standard Envelope.
There are some options to Prove the shipping and delivery:
1) screenshot of the my USPS Tracking Log Dashboard;
2) registering an ebay server into my USPS account (USPS will send the tracking log directly to that server)
3) using the eBay "Mailer ID" to generate the IMb Barcode, so ebay could access it like any other tracking generated by them.
The USPS IMb is an Awesome FREE Tracking Service, more Sellers should use that, and eBay MUST support that USPS tracking number too.
Please, how Request eBay to SUPPORT the USPS IMb Tracking Number???? (they already use this service on the Standard Envelope)

How difficult was it to fill out the application for access to the Informed Visibility Mail Tracking & Reporting system? Did it take a long time? Did the USPS accept it right away? Or did they ask you to make lots of revisions?

Very easy! It will give you a URL for the tracking to share with your buyers. Any ideas on how to get that tracking info into eBay?

Was easy and fast, I don't remember, but maybe a couple of minutes to register, and a couple of hours to be accepted. After that, you receive a "Mailer ID" which you use to Encode the tracking barcode.
When Encode uses this:
9 Digit: TRUE
Barcode ID: 00 (default for letters)
Special Services: 270 (the most complete log)
Mailer ID: 9XXXXXXXX (your mailer id)
Serial Number: 206240 (any number you want)
Delivery Point: Destination ZIP Code
In the USPS Informed Visibility dashboard you can see ALL the data (time, place, etc) when the letter is scanned, usually, 4 or 5 scans up to delivery.
Please, ask to eBay to SUPPORT the USPS IMb code, and show DELIVERY to the buyer.

I have the same problem as you. I can SEE All the Scan Log, and that the letter was Delivered, I can send a Screenshot to the buyer with All the details, but because eBay System won't support the IMb tracking, they show "In Transit", and some rogue Traders open a Refund Request, even after Receiving the envelope.
We need to contact eBay and ask them to Support this Tracking number and show DELIVERED to the buyer.

Hi, I signed up for informed visibility and I've been adding the imb barcode to my letters since Fri 7/7/23. It's Wed 7/12 now and I don't see any data in my query. Does anyone know why I'm not able to see any tracking in the informed visibility?
Here's a snapshot of the encoding (I used my MRID instead of the 987654321 in the picture)
Inside if iv.usps.com, I put my CRID/MRID to the third pane on the right and click Next Step.
I click Use This Method in the Prepare for Online View
I then click Finish in the Define Filters (the CRID, MRID are correct).
I then click Confirm in the Review step
I then see No Data
