This just happened today: 3/21/2023. I've been an Ebay seller since 2016, I've sold close to 9000 items on Ebay. Fedex did it again, I sold 4 large duffel bags with rolling wheels and handles, which weighed 8 lbs each. All 4 shipping labels were purchased and printed from the Ebay Shipping Page. Fedex more than doubled the quoted price on all 4 shipments. Fedex stated that all 4 weighed 17 lbs each. All 4 of these shipments were sold over a period of a month and went to 4 different locations in the USA. All 4 of these were shipped using Fedex Home Delivery. Here is an example of one of my shipments. Quoted price $17.57 after I entered the actual weight and dimensions. Here is the breakdown of the back charges: Residential Surcharge= $4.18, Fuel Surcharge= $4.96, Carrier Rate= $23.82, Additional handling= $20.00, Misc1 Amount= $3.45, Total charges $44.00. And they said it weighed 17 lbs. Now how can they add a residential surcharge when the shipping is named "Fedex HOME Delivery"!!!!! And they were given the shipping address at the time of the quote. I called Ebay and they are filing a dispute with Fedex for all 4 of the overcharged shipments. I talked to a customer service agent, as well as a team leader on duty, and they all agreed that all 4 of these shipment charges were all very suspicious. I explained to the team leader that if you look on the Ebay Community Forum under "Fedex Overcharging " its been happening and complained about since 2020, Yet the management at Ebay has still not fixed the problem. So here I am voicing my concern over an ongoing problem hoping and praying it gets fixed. I will let this forum know how my problem was resolved and if I get a REFUND!!!!
