WE ALL KNOW THAT FED EX IS PULLING A SCAM AND OVERCHARGING ON LABELS. IT HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR A FEW YEARS. EBAY ACKNOWLEDGED THAT EMAILS WENT AROUND AND THEY ARE AWARE ON A RECORDED CONVERSATION. THEY CHARGED ME AN OVERCHARGE OF $54 ON TOP OF SHIPPING ON A SET OF FRONT FLOOR MATS ALONE. I LOST A LOT. THIS WAS MY 50TH INCIDENT NOW ROUGHLY. I CONTACTED AN ATTORNEY. I AM WONDERING ABOUT A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT. EBAY WILL SEND A DISPUTE. ALL SELLERS GET A 1 TIME COURTESY FOR UNDER $10. THIS WAS ALSO CONFIRMED ON A RECORDED LINE. IF YOU ARE GOING TO TRY TO CLAIM THIS IS FALSE THEN WE KNOW THAT THE COMMUNITY ISNT JUST MEMBERS. THAT IS ANOTHER PROBLEM. ANYONE HAVE ANY THOUGHTS? BEFORE YOU MAKE UP SOME NONSENSE...I OVERWEIGH, OVER MEASURE, AND TAKE PICS BEFORE SHIPPING FOR EVIDENCE. WE ARE ALSO SHIPPING TO PEOPLE WE KNOW WHO ARE CONFIRMING ON THEIR END WITH PICS AND SCALES TO PROVE ACCURACY. FED EX WILL STILL MAKE UP DOUBLE CHARGES ILLEGALLY.

Same thing happened to us, we sent a tire out via Fed Ex and my customer paid the shipping, we were then charged by ebay, a few days later, double what our customer paid and the dimensions and weight were exact. I have never and I mean never used Fed Ex again and will ever. Every other shipping service we can use on ebay doesn't do this, not even UPS. It's extremely bad practice and may I just suggest that every seller remove them as shipping option entirely. *edited to add two things, I'd be happy to join the class action and shouldn't ebay bear some responsibility for this too? They deduct the charges out of our account without notice or questions.

I'm curious to know what's the status on your suit? I just got robbed for an additional $31 in Feb and $30 in June from overcharge fees from FedEx!
I literally just paid to ship items to those people for no reason because those "overages" cut out my profit on both transactions.
It happened to me a couple of times last year too, but I didn't say anything about it because I thought I was alone on this. It's obvious to me now that I'm not!
I have been at this since 2004, so I know how to weigh and get accurate dimensions of my packages, so when they come with these "adjustments" at random, I know that this is a racket of some kind.

I'm totally in on this! We are tired of getting charged an extreme amount when everything is correct. When Ebay allows the shippers to do this to its sellers we loose money. The sellers never win with Ebay everything is in the favor of the Buyer and other Outside sources such as fedex. Just got another yesterday for an additional $30.88 when I already paid $14.41

You can count me in! I recently had to learn a $209 lesson about the importance of fully documenting my outgoing shipments. Unfortunately, I don't have any hard proof of their most recent transgression, but I'm certain that it won't be the last. Whenever they try this again I will have my documented proof, and I'm more than willing to contribute.
Quick cut version of my recent experience:
-Ground shipment 147.75lbs 24.5"x24.5"x24.75" (my specs)
-Purchased label for 147.8lbs 25"x25"x25"
-packed in Fedex's branded box (largest box they sell for ground services) purchased from Fedex Office originally measuring 28"x28"x28", but then trimmed down a few inches & re-creased to previous stated dimensions fit shipment appropriately
-I'm charged an additional $209 for "underpaid" shipping label, Fedex states my shipment was 147.75lbs 27"x27"x29"
29" when the original box was only 28" before I trimmed it down! Right.....................

This happened and the funny thing with me is that twice already they take extra money and write that the parcel weighed less than it was indicated and take money for it! Ebay just sends me to the fedex website and that's it. First they tell us that we get a discount on delivery due to the relationship between eBay and Fedax and then they brazenly rob us and take what they want!

Has anyone spoken with an attorney about filing a class action suit regarding the shipping label issue?

basically, fed ex, UPS, USPS, all these companies are thugs and doing scam with people, they increasing rates 3 times every year and no one is there to stop them why they kept increasing 3 times a year, plus in holiday season other countries reduce rates so people can save some money for their families and gifts and here in US , USPS increasing rates in holiday season to loot people. there must be laws suit against USPS too because they taking advantage of holiday season and looting people. USPS is not private company and its govt entity and should not loot people by increasing rates in holiday season. its running on our paid tax money.

It's as if they no longer want home business but don't just want to come out and say that. Just stop using them is all you can do. They are the worst for that.
