I have noticed several items lately that are listed with expedited shipping but it is not true. Ebay says expedited shipping is a service like USPS Priority Mail but the sellers are including 5 days or more for handling time. This is a scam! I viewed a listing for Aa batteries that claimed expedited shipping but the ETA was 12/2/20. Any sensible Ebayer know this is a dishonest way of attracting buyers who need their item promptly. There is no accurate choice to describe this problem when reporting a listing that I know of.

There is nothing to report. The term "expedited" refers to the shipping method that the seller will use, not to the total shipping time including handling.

If you need/want next day delivery, try Amazon. It's always a carp shoot here, that's why you need to read everything before you buy.

Or any sensible ebayer would realize the seller has no control over it saying "expedited" for the service type even when they need to use an extended handling time. The seller can use one of ebays expedited shipping options but be unable to ship every day. Nothing scandalous about that.

You were provided an ETA date at the time before you bought & after paying. If you needed them pronto it is best to read all pertinent info.
Sellers handling time can vary from same day up to 30 days.

Yes, indeed sellers state postage $$s and say Expedited Shipping -- which IS Priority Mail. Whatever the postage, high or low, the seller is committed to use the full $$s charged to you for postage. You're payng for Priority (or at the very least NOT First Class Mail). But then they can and DO ship for $$s less cost the them via cheaper First Class Mail. Seller therefore makes money on the postage via $$s they don't use to ship. Bait and Switch...what a scam. I recommend asking every seller up front before bidding/buying what shipping service they are going to use, no matter what is represented on the listing. I could tell you many "client stories" of bait and switch with postage on eBay.
By chance it nearly happened to me this afternoon--really!--but seller came clean just before shipping and emailed me that Expedited was an error and item would be sent First Class instead (and of course for half the cost to seller). No refund for postage difference since I was "getting such a good deal anyway on item." Was given option to cancel, and I did.

Well it's true. I paid $25 for 2day shipping. I believe it said Fed Ex. But it's just regular priority mail. I'm getting hit with the Okey doke which is how I got here.
