Expected quick delivery - after a week and few days it apears that seller don't have item yet

I bought an item, and expected the delivery week ago, latest begining of this week.

 

When I was buying, estimated delivery time showed 3-5 days. I was buying from German seller, as I am in Germany, and the item location was Germany, to ensure quick delivery. Otherwise I would just buy item from USA or China and get it cheaper but would need to wait longer.

 

So I didn't recive item, and I asked the seller, when can I expect it.

Well, they answerd to me, that they are still waiting for shipment from USA... And they ask me o undrestand it.

 

The same item I bought, now has extneded estimated delivery time to a month.

 

My question to you is, what should I do?

The problem is that I just feel cheated and I want to do something about it.

 

Is it normal on ebay?

Maybe it is normal, and I just need to live with that. But I found this: https://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/item-location.html . Does this applies to me case?

 

The seller has 100% positive feedback (6300), but I doubt it is the frist time they do it.

Was this purchase on eBay Germany? (The link you provided is on eBay US.)

 

Just start an Item not received refund request the day after your last estimated delivery date.

Well to be honest on which ebay I buy I have no clue. Why?

I am changing countries in avarage every 1-3 years, so sometimes ebay messes up completly (when I pruchased this item in ebay Germany, some messages had Spanish language, some English and some German).

But I quess it was ebay Germany.

 

I know I can refund, but thats not an issue. The issue is that sellers get away with shady bussineses like this and that makes me angry. There should be a way to punish it, but apart from leaving negative feedback I see no other option and in my opinion it is not enough.

 

Anyway, the issue is resolved as the item was already shipped.
