I have my handling time set to 3 days. I used to do 1 day, but I've grown tired of that rat race!
I got some orders over the weekend - my dashboard said they needed to be shipped out by January 2nd. Then I see that it says that the buyer is "expecting delivery by January 4th". WTH? Package is not leaving the post office until 2:00 p.m. on the 2nd, so ebay thinks its going NC to CA and delivered in 1 day? I seriously doubt it.
As I expected before I even wasted my time calling, customer service rep was completely useless. I was told to call the Post Office and speak with them about the estimated delivery time. Maybe I should set my handling time to a week or more?

Changing your handling time won't help. eBay bases their delivery estimates mostly on your own delivery history. In a way, sellers are penalized by having a history of prompt shipping. OTOH, Priority Mail is generally a 2 or 3 day service, so 2 days seems within reason especially if one or both locations are urban or near sorting centers.
