I was delivered an $350 order from the USA to the Czech Republic. After checking with the delivery man, it was empty box and I took a few pictures. The delivery man took it back and returned it. I subsequently found out that it was a mistake that I did not accept the package. The box was taped over with ebay tape. The seller confirmed that he didn't use tape. I was going to put that I didn't accept the shipment but it wanted to print a label and since I don't have the shipment I closed it. Now there is no possibility to return the shipment the service is inactive, it is taken as completed. I contacted the delivery service and they said that they were accepting the package with a weight of 0.5kg. The stated weight was 1.5kg which means the contents were lost abroad. I have been unable to contact ebay support in any way. They would easily find out that the package at the checkpoint has a different weight and that it was stolen. They say there is a money back guarantee but I'm not sure. I don't know what to do. I made the mistake of letting the courier return the package. Is there any chance I can get my money back?

If you paid by credit card, contact your card company. If not, contact the payment service you used.

Thank you for the answer. I've managed to get in touch on Facebook and they'll check the situation. We'll see what happens. Anyway, I'm taking this as another option. I'll wait to hear back from eBay.

When you refused the package you voided your buyer protection through money back guarantee.
In order for eBay to provide buyer protection you should have accepted the package even though it was empty and file a not as described return.

Yes, that was my fault. I hope it gets resolved anyway. I didn't find out until afterwards. It's common for us not to accept a package if it's not right. I understand I violated the terms of the protection. But the contents of the package were stolen through no fault of my own. I'll update when I hear back from eBay directly. They just told me their team is investigating.
