Ebay standard envelopes

Can anyone out there explain to me how the tracking process works for the ebay standard envelope? Who is actually tracking the envelope and determining when it is "delivered"? I have asked this question of ebay now for several weeks and cannot  get an answer.  I cannot explain the process to my buyers - who are receiving "delivered" emails but no items in their mailboxes.  I even had one buyer contact ebay shipping himself - and did not get an answer that helped us.  Thanks

Re: Ebay standard envelopes

Yes, it doesn't work very well. They are suppose to register movement anytime they go thru one of the PO's automated sorting machines. There are no Delivery Scans and most of the time no acceptance scans. Most postal clerks won't scan them as they don't have "real tracking numbers".  The system needs a lot of work.

Re: Ebay standard envelopes

Must be local post offices, I have had no issues with mine being scanned, I have used it for both buying and selling.  The only issue I see is that apparently when they scan it to load it on the delivery truck for that day it comes up on my alerts as being delivered even tho my mail has not ran yet.
